The casino revenue figures for April 2023 by the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement reveal yet another astonishing month as online casinos grow by another 16.1% compared to last year.

Online casinos in New Jersey collected $158.9 million in April 2023, setting the second-highest record, following the $165.7 million generated in March 2023.
Compared to last year, where casinos collected $136.9 million in April 2022, revenue is up by over 16%. Looking at the year-to-date numbers, which currently stand at $620.1 million for 2023, online casino revenue in NJ is up by 13.7% compared to $545.4 million last year.
Land-based Casino Revenue April 2023
The nine land-based casino and hotel properties in New Jersey generated revenue of $231.5 million in April 2023. Compared to April of last year, it reflects a decline of 1.6%. However, year-to-date figures are up by 4.6% as casinos collected $886.8 million in 2023, compared to $848 million for the same period last year.

Combing the revenue collected by land-based casinos, their online partners, and sports betting, New Jersey generated $462.7 million in April 2023.
Thanks to the impressive increase of online casinos and sports betting’s growth of over 40%, revenue is up by 9.5% compared to last year. The year-to-date figures show an increase of 12.4%, collecting $1.8 billion in 2023 compared to $1.6 billion in 2022.
